As the HR Manager, he manages the HR Operations team and collaborates with the Recruitment Manager and the Learning Manager to ensure a ‘joined-up’ HR Agenda and approach in supporting delivery of the business agenda.
He oversees the delivery of HR Business Partnering, implementation of Group and SBO HR policies and processes and building a constructive Employee Relations/Industrial Relations environment. Ed is also a Board of Director in the Tabangao Realty Inc. and the Shell Foundation Landholdings & General Services Inc.
In his current role, Ed has spearheaded the implementation of various networks in the centre, namely:
· Women’s Network: a network promoting the spirit of collaboration, idea sharing, and networking that can be an access to a wider community of successful women leaders to inspire, empower, and positively drive their career.
He joined Shell in October 2006 as an HR Service Centre Expatriate Services Team Manager and later moved to an Operations Manager role.Later, he became the HRSC Manila Site Manager and Implementation Manager, overseeing the overall performance of the site and coordinating with the Regional Operations Manager in other countries. Soon after, he took on the role as Regional Operations Manager for Manila and moved to the SBO Manila General Manager role after 4 years.
Ed holds a Bachelors Degree on Philosophy (magna cum laude) and has a Masters Degree on Labor and Industrial Relations (Presidential Scholar), both from the University of the Philippines.
